• Is the work Guaranteed?

Yes. Our work is guaranteed for the life span of the product.

• HOW DO I KNOW IF IT IS TIME TO REPLACE MY ROOF?

The key really lies in making sure that you inspect your roof regularly and are paying attention to its age. This way you should be able to catch any minor issues before they become major problems. 

All roofs will eventually wear out. At the moment, houses with roofs from the early 1970s are knocking on the door of needing replacement. If your home was built pre-70s, it's a no-brainer. There is nothing more to maintain. Replace the roof.

• HOW LONG CAN I EXPECT MY ROOF TO LAST?

Naturally, there are a few factors that can lengthen or shorten the life of your roof, but in general, a roof can be expected to last about 20-30 years, while a metal roof will last a conservative 50 years. That said, things like climate, extreme weather, and maintenance can affect the lifespan of your roof. Roofs that are regularly inspected, maintained, and washed can be expected to last a bit longer. •  My Roof looks like it has sagged over time. Can you fix it?

Yes. As Licenced Builders we are able to address any framing issues as required.

• WHAT WILL A NEW ROOF COST ME?

This is a tough one to answer because everyone’s home is different. The best way to get a solid estimate is to simply call us. We will offer a quote at no cost, and with no obligation. If you wanted a rough idea of starting cost it would be around $100 per m2 for supply and install. Know that every aspect of your home, like shape, size, and location, will affect the price of your new roof.

• Can I replace my roof in Winter?

Yes, We work all year round and have methods that prevent rain from getting into your home while we are completing the job.

• MY ROOF IS LEAKING, DOES IT NEED TO BE TOTALLY REPLACED?

One or two leaks are not a major disaster. However if you find a leak call us and we will inspect your roof thoroughly. Make sure all leaks are fixed as soon as you notice the problem, this way your roof will probably be fine. If you have more than one or two leaks, however, you may be looking at some more extensive repairs.

If you wait to get leaks fixed, water can seep under your roof and begin to rot away at the framing causing the roof to sag over time. This is why it is so important to make sure you give us a call at the first sign of a leak if you’re looking to avoid a total roof replacement. 

• HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO INSTALL A NEW ROOF?

Again, this one is dependent on the shape of your home, and what type of new roof you’re having installed. A new roof can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.

Roofing can be dangerous work, and we have to ensure that we will be safe while up on the roof, so inclement weather could put your roof installation on a longer timeline.

• WHAT IS LONG RUN ROOFING?

• WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 0.4 AND 0.55 GAUGE ROOFING MATERIAL?

0.4mm is the minimum standard thickness for roofing recognised by the building code. However, we recommend using 0.55 gauge roofing on all of our installations.

Is a metal roof environmentally responsible?

Not only is metal roofing great for your home, it's great for the environment. The recycled content of the steel in a metal roof is about 28% and is completely recyclable at the end of it’s lifespan. This make metal roofing a green building material.
